So boom, check it…. While my phone was charging, I decided that I needed to use it. Well, when I went to unplug the phone, it wasn’t fully charged but it was showing the battery was at 98%.

My first thought was to go ahead and unplug the phone because it was ALMOST FULLY CHARGED. But then I heard the Holy Spirit say, a full recovery is necessary in order to move forward.

You see, many of you start the healing/recovery process and then as soon as you start to “feel” better, you stop working towards your recovery. As soon as you feel that thing is behind you, you stop working on the root issue that lead you to that place.

But God is saying, DON’T ABORT THE PROCESS. It is necessary so that you can FULLY walk into the place where He is trying to take you. You can’t move forward until you heal/recover from the trauma, the pain, the abandonment, or whatever your “it” is that left you wounded.

I know we hear the words self care tossed around a lot these days but never underestimate the value in taking care of your own needs first.

As the saying goes, you can’t pour from an empty well.

Life challenges all of us, so we must remember to take the time to consistently invest in our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

When I arrived at the beach yesterday, I noticed a boat off in the distance. Though it is common to see boats in the distance, something was different about the trajectory of the boat on this day. During the hour or so that I spent there, the boat appeared to move closer and closer.

As time went on, the boat now seemed to be moving further away and as I walked along the beach to make my way to the exit ramp, it appeared that boat began moving parallel to me.

Remember, everything in life is about perception, and when you can’t tell whether you’re coming or going, it’s an indication to switch directions.

It is time to SHIFT! 2023 was full of transitions and many of you felt lost because you lacked direction. God is trying to move you to your next destination, but you’re still stuck on what happened in your last season.

In order to arrive at your next, you must acknowledge what left and accept what stayed. Nothing that left was tied to your destiny. Let it go so that you can grow! Accept the lessons of your last season and thank God for the experience.

We all must reset from time to time, but at the beginning of the year, I do a major reset (Control-Alt-Delete).

So, at the end of 2023, I completed a 20-minute healing yoga session 🧘🏾‍♀️ to help provide myself with a clean slate to start 2024.

Then, on the first day of this new year, I took a trip to the beach for grounding.
