Well it’s no secret that I’m a Princess so, what better way to celebrate the first day of my birth month than with a castle cake 🙂

Here’s some special things I discovered about my special month…

  • National Blueberry Month~this must be the reason I love blueberries soooo much!!!

  • National Anti-Boredom Month~hence all the FUN in the sun!!!

  • National Cell Phone Courtesy Month~ummm does that mean I can’t use my cell phone while in the presence of others?!?  What about CANDY CRUSH???

  • National Ice Cream Month~bring the butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, and red velvet!!!  Ooh and don’t forget the lactaid..LMBO

Roses…

Time passes whether we want it to or not, this is why it is important to “Stop and Smell the Roses”….

When you were a kid, you may have always thought tomorrow was a guarantee.  As you grew older, hopefully you noticed that each new day is indeed a gift.

Everyone should make it a priority to enjoy their life to the fullest.  This doesn’t mean do any and everything you think you are “grown” enough to do.  It simply means appreciate every aspect of YOUR life.  You have been given everything necessary to live a happy, fulfilled life.  It is up to each individual to live their best life.  Just because you can’t afford a trip to Jamaica, doesn’t mean you can’t take a vacation.  Even if you can’t afford a five-star restaurant, you can still go out for dinner.  The happiest people plainly love the life they live.  They are too busy living to dwell on what they don’t have.

Never take a moment for granted, LIVE LOVE LAUGH WITHOUT LIMITS…

My Chorus for Today: “Back when I had a little, I thought that I needed a lot.  A little was over rated, but a lot was a little too complicated.  You see zero didn’t satisfy me, a million didn’t make me happy.  That’s when I learned a lesson, that it’s all about your perception.”~India Arie

The Journey…Day 2

I’ve learned over the years that the greatest gift I have to offer to the world is ME…There is no doubt about it, when I was created, the heavens sang!!!  Everyone should feel this way.  We are all here to fulfill a purpose and even when you can’t see your way, there is still value to your life.  Everyone won’t be for you but everyone is not against you, so shine anyway!!!

May 5, 2012 is drop-off day.  Just like a water filter, I’m purifying.  The good things are flowing through to fill my cup and the bad ones are being disposed of.  In order to grow, you must learn when to allow things to fall away.  Some people, situations or things have been hanging on by a thread, you must cut them off to eliminate the dead weight.

As I await day 3 of this journey, I am tired.  I released a lot and embraced so much more and this has drained me.  When you make room for the all the good, you wonder where all the bad ever fit in.

My chorus for today  is: “Bag lady you gone hurt your back, dragging all them bags like that.  I guess nobody ever told you, all you must hold on to, is you, is you, is you…”~Erykah Badu

Live…

“The best thing about life is, it goes on”….Each day will present new challenges and maybe even obstacles BUT if you survive that day, it never has to be relived again.

The beautiful thing about life is, we have choices.  Although there are many things that we can’t control, our reactions dictate our satisfaction.  You must become a lover of life.  Whatever amount of energy you spend contemplating the decisions you make, be sure to use twice as much energy enjoying YOUR life.  You must appreciate the simplicity of life.  The air we breathe is not guaranteed, it’s a privilege.  Someone’s dying prayer was to just be able to smell the fresh air one more time.  Take it all in.

YOUR life is YOURS to live.
